Red Cedar Speedway Gears Up for Annual Race Car Show & Expo This Weekend
Menomonie, WI - The Red Cedar Speedway is set to kick off the 2026 racing season with its annual Race Car Show & Expo, taking place this Friday and Saturday, March 27th and 28th, at the Fanetti Community Center & Ice Rink. The two-day event promises a full schedule of entertainment, activities, and opportunities for race fans and families alike to get an early taste of the upcoming season.
The festivities begin Friday evening, March 27th, with the show running from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Attendees can take part in a variety of activities, including a bean bag tournament at 6:00 p.m., followed by a DJ providing music throughout the evening. A Texas Holdem tournament will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Action continues Saturday, March 28th, with a full day of events scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The day kicks off with a swap meet running from 9:00 a.m. to noon. A euchre tournament will follow at noon.
From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Kids Carnival will provide family-friendly entertainment designed to engage younger fans. Children will have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy face painting ($5), jump in the bounce house, spin the prize wheel, and participate in a color contest. A bike giveaway will also highlight the afternoon festivities. Additional games and the bounce house will be available throughout both days, making the event enjoyable for families from start to finish.
Saturday evening will feature the 2025 Season Awards at 6:00 p.m., recognizing drivers and accomplishments from the past year. Following the awards, there will be live music as the Sidetracked Band performs at 7:00 p.m. The band will bring a wide-ranging setlist that includes modern and classic country, 1980s hits, alternative favorites, and timeless oldies, ensuring there is something for everyone in attendance.
In addition to the scheduled entertainment, fans will have the opportunity to get up close with race cars, meet drivers, explore vendor displays, and enjoy food and beverages throughout the weekend. Featured vendors include Velocita, a racer-owned company specializing in fire suits, gloves, shoes, and crew apparel designed for performance, protection, and affordability. Also in attendance will be Rocket Russ Collectibles, offering a wide selection of diecast items for collectors and racing enthusiasts.
With a blend of racing excitement, live entertainment, family activities, and community atmosphere, the Red Cedar Speedway Race Car Show & Expo continues to be a can’t-miss event that signals the return of racing season in Menomonie.
