Rain Washes Out 45th Annual Punky Manor Challenge of Champions
MENOMONIE, WI – Red Cedar Speedway was prepared to host the 45th Annual Punky Manor Challenge of Champions on September 19 and 20, but steady rainfall throughout the weekend forced officials to cancel the event.
Track crews worked tirelessly Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, battling repeated showers in an attempt to save the program. Despite their efforts, the persistent weather made racing impossible and left officials with no choice but to call off the highly anticipated weekend.
Red Cedar Speedway extends its thanks to the racers and fans who had made plans to attend. While this year’s Punky Manor was washed away, attention has already shifted toward 2026 with excitement for the return of one of the region’s most historic racing events.
The speedway also acknowledges its 2025 Punky Manor Challenge of Champions Marketing Partners, whose continued support helps make these events possible. Tim's Automotive Machine, Bill's Distributing, Midwest Food & Tobacco Group, Silgan Containers, Mars Race Cars, Markquart Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Menomonie, Galloping Ghost Motorsports & Transportation, Prochnow Family Farms, Dirt Track Specialties, Joe Provo Racewear, and Wolf's Den RV Campground Resort & Tavern are among the businesses and organizations that stand behind the tradition of Punky Manor Challenge of Champions.
