Presale Tickets on Sale for 45th Annual Punky Manor Challenge of Champions
Menomonie, WI – The 45th Annual Punky Manor Challenge of Champions is right around the corner, bringing two full days of racing, entertainment, and family fun to Red Cedar Speedway.
The weekend begins on Thursday, September 18, with an open practice session from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $30 for the driver and car, with $10 admission for spectators in the pits only. Concessions will not be available on Thursday evening.
Racing officially begins on Friday, September 19, at 6:00 p.m. with the “Prelude to the Punky.” All four WISSOTA-sanctioned divisions will be racing complete shows. The Late Models will race for $1,500 to win, the Modifieds will race for $850 to win, the Super Stocks will race for $550 to win, and the Midwest Modifieds will race for $400 to win. After the conclusion of Friday night’s racing program, Illinois-based band 303 will perform until 1:00 a.m. Known as Illinois’ favorite band to party with, the group covers everything from hard rock and metal to country music. They bring passion and energy to each performance, recreating the sound and magic of some of music’s most legendary eras.
Championship Night takes place on Saturday, September 20, with racing beginning at 5:00 p.m. Another round of complete shows will be held with the largest payouts of the weekend. The Late Models will race for $5,057 to win, the Modifieds for $2,057 to win, the Super Stocks for $1,257 to win, and the Midwest Modifieds for $1,057 to win. Saturday’s program will also include the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as well as a fireworks show for fans to enjoy at the conclusion of the night.
From thrilling racing action and live music to hall of fame honors and fireworks, the Punky Manor Challenge of Champions will be a weekend to remember. Fans are encouraged to make plans now to be part of this Menomonie tradition and celebrate one of the premier racing events of the season.
