Red Cedar Speedway Gears Up for 52nd Annual Season Opener on Friday, May 2nd
MENOMONIE, WI – Red Cedar Speedway is set to roar back to life this Friday, May 2nd, as it kicks off the 2025 racing season with its 52nd Annual Season Opener, presented by Mars Race Cars and Keyes Chevytown.
After a series of weather-related cancellations in April, anticipation is high among fans and drivers. Track officials have been working hard to prepare the facility for what promises to be an exciting night of racing action.
Friday’s event will showcase five divisions: RCS Hornets, USRA Late Models, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Modifieds, and WISSOTA Super Stocks. As a special promotion, college students can receive free grandstand admission by presenting a valid student ID at the ticket booth on Friday only.
Gates open at 4:00 pm for the pit area, with grandstands opening at 5:00 pm. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:00 pm, and draw cutoff will be at 6:30 pm. The first green flag of the season is set to wave at 7:00 pm.
Parents are encouraged to sign their children up for the Red Cedar Speedway Kids Club. For a $10 sign-up fee, each child will receive an exclusive Kids Club t-shirt, a goodie bag, and an entry into the youth dirt bike giveaway sponsored by G2G Powersports. Kids Club members can also enjoy weekly activities including games, a coloring corner, bean bags, and more throughout the season.
